Norma Jean Baker, 91, of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born January 8, 1927, in Covington, to the late Wilbur and Dorothy (Shafer) Tobias. She married William “Bill” Baker; he preceded her in death on January 4, 2003.
She will be missed and remembered by her brother, Robert “Bob” (Janet) Tobias of Covington; her sister Patricia Basham of Rapid City, S.D.; sister-in-law Doris Tobias of Covington; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Tobias.
Norma was a 1944 graduate of Covington High School and had worked at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. She retired from the former Aerovent of Piqua after 33 years of service.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, August 28, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.
