Alice Rose Caldwell, 87, of Covington, passed away Thursday afternoon, May 25, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice Care Center, Troy. She was born March 19, 1936, in Miami County, to the late Roy and Amanda (Smith) Flory. She married Harold Caldwell February 14, 1958; he preceded her in death June 17, 2014. She was also preceded in death by her half-brothers, Jay and Fred Flory.
Alice is survived by her brother, Wayne (Nancy) Flory of Covington; son Mike (Mary) Caldwell of Covington; daughter Amy Green of Burlington, Ky.; granddaughters Alyssa Green of Erlanger, Ky. and Rachel (Ben) Walter of Loveland; and a great-grandson, Colton Scheid of Erlanger, Ky.
Alice enjoyed going on many camping trips with Harold, shopping at community garage sales, attending Covington’s Fort Rowdy Gathering, and spending time with family. To the many who passed through the halls of Covington High School, she will be remembered as Mrs. Caldwell, working at the front desk or in the attendance department. She later then worked part-time for a few years at the Covington Care Center as an activities coordinator.
Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.
