Barbara Stewart

Barbara L. Stewart, 83, of Piqua, passed away Wednesday morning, October 12, 2022, at Piqua Manor. She was born October 8, 1939, in Shelby County, to the late Frank Myers and Opal Irene Myers Riouller. She married Harold William “Bill” Stewart; he survives.

Barbara will be missed and remembered by her daughters, Robin Anthony and Cheryl Banning, both of Piqua; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; her stepchildren, Rebecca Stewart of Sidney, Larry (Diane) Stewart of Piqua, and Cathy (Tom) Levering of Piqua. She was preceded in death by all her siblings; two daughters, Diane Myers and Kelly Jo Owen; and two sons, Brian Owen and William “Bill” Owen.

Mrs. Stewart retired from Crane Pumps and had also worked at the former Springs Supper Club and Allen-A, all of Piqua. She attended Lena Baptist Church and enjoyed gardening and flowers. She and Bill also did ceramics, and were previously the co-owners of Conover Ceramics.

Graveside services will be held at 12 p.m. Monday, October 17, at Miami Memorial Park, 7875 Crescent Dr., Covington, with Rev. Edward Sollenberger officiating. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami Co. Animal Shelter. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.moorefh.com.
