Betty A. Bowman

Elizabeth A. “Betty” Bowman, 95, of Covington, passed away early Tuesday morning, August 1, 2023, at her residence. She was born April 18, 1928, in Covington, to the late Charles and Iva (Minnich) Manning. She married Don R. Bowman; he preceded her in death on June 13, 2021.

She will be missed and remembered by her son and daughter-in-law, Scott (Dawn) Bowman of Covington, three grandchildren, Christopher (Lorraine) Bowman, Marcie (Sean) Sexton and Christine (Nick) Swartz; and three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Nicole and Laci. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Michael Bowman; and a granddaughter, Lisa Bowman.

Betty was a 1946 graduate of Covington High School and was a longtime member of the Covington Presbyterian Church. Betty was a member of the Eastern Star, and had worked for the former Maier’s IGA, Web’s Auto Parts of Troy, and served as the fiscal officer for the J.R. Clarke Library.

Private graveside services will be held at Highland Cemetery, Covington, with Pastor Greg Kurtz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
