Brenda Brumbaugh

Brenda Lee (Voris) Brumbaugh, of Marysville, passed into the arms of Jesus Christ her Savior on December 17, 2024. She was born June 3, 1941 in Johnstown, Ohio, to the late Woodrow and Letha (Crotinger) Voris. She was also preceded in death by a sister, Patricia Sue Voris.

Brenda was a graduate of Hartford High School in Croton, Ohio, and then worked as a secretary for several years. In 1983, she opened Fabric Showroom in Marysville, and later worked for the Lighthouse Christian Book store from 1992-1998. Brenda was a devoted member of the Cornerstone Global Methodist Church (formerly Marysville First United Methodist Church) since 1979, and served on various committees.

She will be remembered for being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was thoughtful, caring and generous to her family, her friends and to others. She had an interest in cooking, sewing, crafts, reading and playing the piano. She was an avid fan of the Cincinnati Reds baseball team.

Brenda is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Gene D. Brumbaugh, whom she married in April 1975; two sons, Timothy Butt of Kansas City, Mo. and Brad (Anna) Butte of Marysville, Ohio; grandchildren Joshua, Matthew and Isabel Butte; a twin sister, Linda (Jim) Callan of Arcadia, Florida; a sister-in-law, Judy (Herb) Van Tilburgh of Sidney, Ohio; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, December 23, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, Ohio, with Rev. Peggy Hoy officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Friends may visit with the family from 12-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Hospice ViaQuest Foundation (Marysville); or the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
