Charles “Chuck” Ouellette, 65, of Covington, passed away Wednesday afternoon, May 10, 2023, at Allen View Healthcare Center, Springfield. He was born April 22, 1958, in Wayne, Michigan, to the late Leon Ouellette and Joan (Marcy) Ouellette. His mother survives in Piqua.
Chuck will also be missed and remembered by his siblings, Linda Carter (Gary), Debbie (Tim) Gates, Doris Atkinson (Jim Smith), Larry Ouellette (Cheryl Parker), Edward Ouellette (Traci Jones), Mark Ouellette (Jerri Rinehart), Wanda Ouellette (Bruce), Phillip (Jody) Ouellette, sister-in-law Robin DeWitt; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by siblings Tina Ouellette and Michael Ouellette.
He was a graduate of Colonel White High School in Dayton, and worked many years for Al’s BP in Covington. Chuck had also worked in property maintenance and as a handyman. He enjoyed visiting many churches on Sunday mornings, and attended Troy Baptist Church in his younger days, appreciating their deaf ministry. Chuck also enjoyed his time volunteering with the Bill Rice Ranch, which also ministered to the deaf.
A gathering time for family and friends to honor Chuck’s life will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday, May 19, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Private burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made the deaf charity of one’s choice. Online condolences may be made to the Ouellette family at www.moorefh.com.
