Clinton Angle

October 22, 1926 — January 16, 2019

Clinton Edward Angle was born October 22, 1926, to Willis and Ollie (Rapp) Angle at their home on Sugar Grove Road.  The ninth of 13 children, his siblings are Marion, Delmar, Glenna Stevenson, Thelma Sink, Kenneth, Lois King, Luther, Mary Ellen Diltz, Paul, Pauline Beckner (surviving), Betty Fisher, and Jean Piatt.

Clint married Opal Leota Blocher, the daughter of James and Stella (Brubaker) Blocher, on December 2, 1947 at the bride’s home near North Manchester, Ind. by Howard Flora.  After a short stay with Amos and Effie Montgomery, they made their first home on a farm near Mexico, Indiana.  Dad and Mom accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and were baptized by Howard Flora on Good Friday, March 26, 1948, and became members of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church in the Mexico District.

In 1954 they moved back to Ohio, to the farm on Sugar Grove Road near Covington.  Children born to Clint and Opal are James Clinton, William Thomas (Marla), Reynold Jay (Marilyn, deceased), Pamela Sue Bowman (Larry), Kenneth Eldon (Sherry), and Lisa June Peters (Wayne).  They also have 14 grandchildren and 52 great-grandchildren.

Dad was a farmer.  In June of 2018, Clint and Opal moved to Mexico, Ind. to the care of their daughter.

He passed on to eternity on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at his home in Mexico, Ind.  Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Sunday, January 20, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 Farrington Rd., Covington.  Interment will follow in Sugar Grove Cemetery.  Friends may call from 1-6 p.m. Saturday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington.  Online condolences may be left for the family at www.moorefh.com.
