Connie L. Cain, 63, of Troy, passed away peacefully Sunday morning, April 27, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family. She was born April 24, 1962, in Piqua, to the late Sylvester “Bud” and Jean M. (Hackemoeller) Meyer. She married her high school sweetheart, Jeffery A. Cain on May 7, 1983; he survives.
She will also be missed and remembered by her four children and their spouses, Janelle (Tres) Frank of Powell, Ryan (Andy) Cain of Troy, Kristi (Brian) Drouillard of Graytown and Luke (Kaleigh) Cain of St. Marys; nine grandchildren, Kensey, Harper, Nash, Andrew, Joan, Valerie, Leann, Maverick and Rhett; ten siblings, Roger Meyer (Teresa Grillot) of Russia, Terry (Deb) Meyer of Covington, Steve (Roxanne) Meyer of Houston, Joyce (Tom) Grilliot of Covington, Arthur (Donna) Meyer of Covington, Sharon (Ken) Luebke of Fort Loramie, Mark (Hortencia) Meyer of Springfield, Shirley (Greg) Arnett of Piqua, Gary (Buffy) Meyer of Sidney, James (Charlotte) Meyer of Houston; many nieces and nephews; step-siblings Bill (Mitzi) Clark, Jeff (Sue) Clark and Debbie (Bill) Clason. She was preceded in death by her parents and her stepmother, Pauline Clark Meyer.
She was a 1980 graduate of Covington High School, and had worked for Meijer of Troy since they opened in 1992. She was a devout Catholic, and had attended both St. Teresa in Covington and St. Patrick in Troy over the years.
Connie enjoyed the simpler things, but also the finer things in life. She enjoyed taking walks, sunsets on her porch, time spent with her family and grandchildren, and just relaxing with her feet in the grass. Connie also appreciated taking girls’ trips with her daughters, daughters-in-law and sisters, doing self-care, spa visits, and was an avid fan of Suzanne Somers.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 2, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 409 E. Main St., Troy, with Rev. Eric Bowman & Rev. James Duell con-celebrating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Friends may visit from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Right to Life or any local veteran charity of choice. Online condolences may be left for the Cain family at moorefh.com.
