Curtis Mohler

June 28, 1963 — March 2, 2011

Age 47, of Covington, son of Glen and Lois Jean (Miller) Mohler was born on June 28, 1963. He departed this life peacefully at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy, on the morning of March 2, 2011, surrounded by his loving family. Following an automobile accident on October 15, 1983, Curtis was disabled and, therefore, many loving hearts and hands had volunteered, again and again, countless hours of their time for his physical therapy. These times of sharing and caring will be greatly missed and no amount of thanks will ever be sufficient to express the gratitude to all who shared in Curtis's life through this and other ways. Being able to communicate by blinking his eyes, Curtis responded in faith to the Lord Jesus Christ and was baptized in Sugar Grove District on September l4, 1994. He is survived by his parents Glen and Lois Jean, sister Diane, brother Randy and his wife Diane, nieces Holly Eikenberry and her husband Trent, their children Carter, Jade and Will; Nicki Clawson and her husband Casey, their daughter Kyra. He was preceded in death by both sets of grandparents David E and Martha Mohler, Forest and Amy Miller and most recently, his great niece Lena Clawson. We are blessed by many fond memories of Curtis's life and cherish them dearly. He loved the outdoors, especially fishing and hunting. In the later years, little children and friends would recall memories, bringing a twinkle to Curtis's eyes. Great is the Lord and greatly to be praised for His perfect designs for our lives. What a joy He has granted all of us to care and share in life together. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Funeral services for Curtis will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Sugar Grove District, 6360 Farrington Road, Covington. Interment will follow at Sugar Grove Cemetery, Covington. Family and friends may gather 3-5 and 6-8 PM Friday, at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Brethren Charity Fund.
