Dale E. Brubaker, 83, of Troy, passed away Tuesday morning, January 9, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. He was born January 2, 1941, in Franklin Twp., Darke County, to the late Harry B. and Naomi (Gaines) Brubaker.
He will be missed and remembered by two daughters, Tammy (Hank) Habekost of West Alexandria and Pam Marrs of Troy; six grandchildren, Daniel (Courtney) Smith, Derek (Amber) Smith, D’Ann (Travis) O’Neill, Devin (Ali) Habekost-Eisenhour, Sydney Marrs and Jesse Marrs; 12 great-grandchildren; his significant other, Patricia Bryant of Troy; her children, Sabrina (Edward) Elson of Marion and Aundrea (Josh Bodenmiller) Bryant of Troy; three step-grandchildren, Jessica, Miranda and Jenna; and his siblings, Eugene (Alice) Brubaker, Joann Brubaker, Janice (Don) Crist, Donna (Dale) Algren, and sister-in-law Patricia Brubaker. He was preceded in death by his stillborn daughter Beth Ann Brubaker; brother Melvin Brubaker; and infant sister Eileen Brubaker.
Dale attended Elizabeth Twp. Schools and served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He had worked for Hobart Brothers and retired from Spinnaker Coating. However, Dale’s true passion was farming.
Friends may visit with the family from 12-2 p.m. Friday, January 12, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with a short service to follow. Burial will be in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Online condolences may be left for the family at moorefh.com.
