Dallas Bowman

Dallas Lee Bowman, 75, of Covington, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022, at Ohio’s Hospice Inpatient Care Center, Troy. He was born March 31, 1947, in Waverly, to the late Charles Bowman and the late Maebell Bowman Wagner. He married Gail Ann (Peeples) Bowman on May 14, 1971; she survives.

Dallas will also be missed and remembered by his daughter-in-law, Kelly Burdette Bowman of Piqua; three grandchildren, Mckenzie, Dalton and Jackson Bowman; three great-grandchildren, Maxton, Ivory and Knoxlee Bowman; siblings Judy (Dwain) McCoy of Moraine and Robert Wagner of Moraine; numerous nieces and nephews; his faithful dog Buckwheat Bowman; and all of their special friends and neighbors who helped throughout the years, especially Kari Hollis of Covington. He was preceded in death by a son, James Michael “Jamie” Bowman, and a brother, Charles “Chuck” (Carol) Bowman.

Dallas was a welder by trade, having worked at Aerovent in Covington and Lau Blowers in Dayton. In retirement, he loved working for the Miami County Park District. He enjoyed fishing, kayaking, football, poker, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Wednesday, September 7, at Fields of Grace Worship Center, 326 E. Troy Pike, Covington, with Pastor Don Solin officiating. Graveside services and burial will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Greenville Creek Cemetery near Bradford. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
