David Allen Pierson, 77, of Piqua, passed away Friday evening, May 2, 2025, at Ohio’s Hospice, Troy. He was born October 4, 1947, in Piqua, to the late Richard J. and Therese (Schneider) Pierson. He married Victoria ‘Vickie’ (Nichols) Pierson on July 4, 1989; she survives.
He will also be missed and remembered by his children and their spouses, Darrell (Chrissy) Ambos of Americus, Ga., Andrew (Amanda) Ambos of Marysville and Elizabeth Pierson of Jackson, Mich.; ten grandchildren, Kaleb, Emily, Franchesca, Jayden, Abby, Victoria, Christopher, Duncan, Sarah and Benjamin; five great-grandchildren, Jayden, Haiden, Aiden, Kaiden and baby Charlotte; and close friends Marvin Cool and George White of Piqua. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Allen Pierson.
Dave was a 1968 graduate of Piqua Catholic High School. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and had worked for CTS and Reynolds Electric. He was a member of St. Boniface Catholic Church, Knights of St. John, Knights of Columbus, and American Legion #184, all of Piqua.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 14, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 6925 W. U.S. Rt. 36, Covington, with Rev. James Duell celebrating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington, where military honors will be provided by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Boniface Church or Piqua Catholic School. The Pierson family would like to thank Ohio’s Hospice for their care of Dave, both at home and the inpatient unit.
