Dolores Johnson

Dolores J. “Dori” Johnson, 72, of Piqua, passed away late Tuesday evening, October 20, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, Troy. She was born March 26, 1954, in Dayton to the late Paul Johnson and Lillie (Riley) Johnson of Wilmington.

Dori will be missed and remembered by her wife, Cathy; children Shawn (Lori), Amanda (Jeff), Casandra (Henry) and Ryan; 12 grandchildren, Anthony, Jessica, Mary, Bryce, Amber, Damien, Cheyenne, Sierra, Alyssa, Elijah, Blake and Clay; sisters Carol, Mary and Geri; nieces Angie, Amanda, Shelby, Taylor; and many special friends, including Linda Dill and Neola Mace. She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Patricia.

Dori was a graduate of Wayne High School in Huber Heights and Sinclair College. She worked as a licensed physical therapist assistant in hospitals in Dayton and Troy. She had also worked with special needs students in the Dayton City School District, and was the rehab director for various skilled nursing facilities.

Dori was an animal lover, having owned many pets over the years. Her family would like to thank the Piqua Emergency Squad, Upper Valley Medical Center, and Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County for their excellent care of Dori.

Private graveside services and burial will take place at a later date in Willow View Cemetery, Dayton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to His Hands Extended Sanctuary, 1560 Dialton Rd., Saint Paris, OH 43072. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.
