Dorothy Stanfield

Dorothy Marie Stanfield, 63, of Troy, passed away Friday evening, May 26, 2023, at Miami Valley Hospital, Dayton. She was born July 31, 1959, in Fleming County, Kentucky, to the late Paul and Virginia (Jones) Stanfield.

She will be missed and remembered by her longtime companion Darrin Fryman of Troy; son Joseph “Joey” Fryman of Troy; her siblings, Tracy (Tony) Sell of Sidney, Patty Stanfield, Donald Stanfield, James Stanfield, Lynda (Beachel) Swafford, and Fay (Billy) Compton, all of Troy.

Dorothy had worked many years for RT Industries, and was involved with the Miami County Board of DD. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, flowers, WWE wrestling, westerns, her Jack Russell terrier Lilly, eating at K’s, and working on puzzle books. She will be remembered for her great sense of humor and her loving kind spirit.

Graveside services to honor her life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, at Miami Memorial Park, 7875 N. Crescent Dr., Covington. Burial will follow alongside her parents. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Board of Developmental Disabilities or DaVita Upper Valley Kidney Center.
