Age 91 of Covington, passed away Sunday, April 17, 2011, at the Versailles Health Care Center. She was born October 6, 1919, in Covington, OH, to her parents Newton & Estella Mae (Wiley) Cissner. She was preceded in death by her husband Vaughn Houck in 1973; sister Roxie Drees; brothers Carl Cissner, Bob Cissner, Ralph Cissner, Glen Cissner, Bud Cissner. She is survived by her daughter Susan Baker of West Milton; grandchildren Kimberly Baker of Greenville, Randall Baker & Lisa Rose of Englewood, Gregory & Rebecca Baker of Arcanum, great-grandchildren Zachary Baker, Rachel Baker, Haleigh Hoening, Hayden Baker; and many extended family and friends. Edna was a 1938 graduate of Covington High School. She worked at Roger's Drum Factory and retired from Hobart Brothers. She was a member of the St. John's Lutheran Church where she was involved with the Ladies Ministry. She was also a member of the VFW Auxillary, Covington, and volunteered at Covington Care Center. She enjoyed crocheting and needlepoint. Graveside services for Edna were held 3:00 PM Tuesday, April 19, at Highland Cemetery, Covington. Pastor Stephen Nierman officiated. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Lutheran Church Children's Fund. Online memories may be left for the family at www.jackson-sarver.com
