Eula Jane (Kuns, Miller, Bowser) Flora, daughter of Chester and Opal (Layman) Kuns, passed from this life to eternity at the age of 88 years at the Village Green, Greenville, Ohio, on December 15, 2024. Eula was born May 8, 1936 in Carroll County, Indiana.
Eula was baptized into Christ and fellowshipped with the Old German Baptist Brethren before her marriage to Paul Miller on June 14, 1953. They shared 23 years of marriage together before Paul’s passing on November 28, 1976. To this union was born five children; Marletta (Jim Gascho, decased), Marilyn (Rick Kingrey), Myrna (Mike Eikenberry), Michael (Rachel Montgomery) and Maurice (Gail Dutter).
Mother was a widow for four years before she married Robert Bowser on June 21, 1980. They shared 12 short years together before Bob’s passing on June 22, 1992. He left two daughters, Bonnie (Gerald Miller) and Linda (Danny Thurber), and six grandchildren. On February 5, 1995, she married Robert Flora. They shared 29 years together, sharing her first 25th wedding anniversary. She was a woman with much perseverance. After the passing of Paul, she started a bakery at Landes Meats which she enjoyed for 20 years. After selling it, she baked at home for others. Mother worked very hard and God saw she was getting tired and called her home. She attended Covington’s love feast this past October and was very thankful she could go.
Left to mourn her passing with her children is her husband Robert Flora, his children, Meldon (Lisa Rinehart), Gerald (Jane Garber) and Rueshan (Donald Boone) and 17 grandchildren. A brother, Marlin Kuns, sister-in-law Lois Jean Mohler, brothers-in-law Paul Riffey, Donald Balsbaugh and Melvin Filbrun, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Looking for that blessed hope and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ. (Titus 2:13)
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, December 18, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 Farrington Rd., Covington. Burial will follow in Newcomer Cemetery near Painter Creek.
