Gerald Sink

SINK, Gerald James Sr., age 83, of Covington, surrounded by his loving family, went home to be with the Lord on March 6, 2011 at Upper Valley Medical Center, Troy. Gerald was born on July 4, 1927, near Wirtz, Va. On June 5, 1948, he was united in marriage to Virginia M. Bower of New Lebanon, Oh., and she survives. They spent nearly 63 years together in the Covington area. Also surviving are three sons; Leon and wife Jewel of Covington, Gerald James Jr. ?Jim? and wife Chris of Pasco, Wa., Ed and wife Janet of Covington; 16 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, brother Wilfred Sink of Troy, brother-in-law Luther Angle of Pleasant Hill, sisters-in-law Gladys Sink of Boones Mill, Va., and Woneda Sink of Covington. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 10, at the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 6360 Farrington Road, Covington. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Covington. Family and friends may gather from 3-5 and 6-8 on Wednesday, March 9, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Miami County, Troy, Ohio.
