Gloria Whalen

Gloria S. Whalen, 74, of Pleasant Hill, passed away Saturday afternoon, June 27, 2026, at her residence. She was born April 24, 1952, in Troy, to the late Charles R. and Leta F. (Harman) Gnodle.

She will be missed and remembered by her son, Jeremy (Michelle) Whalen of Pleasant Hill; three grandchildren, Maria Lopez-Whalen, Jeremy Whalen and Tracy Whalen; four great-grandchildren, Braxton, Gracen, Harper and Keegan; her brother, John Gnodle of South Carolina; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son, Tracy Whalen; and a sister, Teresa Greive.

Gloria was a 1970 graduate of Newton High School. She was employed by B.F. Goodrich of Troy for over 30 years, working various jobs there and retiring as an inspector. She had attended Troy Church of the Brethren and enjoyed flea markets and helping others.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, July 2, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor John Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 10-11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Miami County Family Abuse Shelter, 530 Crescent Dr., Troy, OH 45373.
