CALDWELL, Harold B
Age 83, of Covington passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at Covington Care Center. He was born March 18, 1931, in Covington, Ohio, to his parents Park & Clara (Bitner) Caldwell. Harold enjoyed being with his family and friends, going camping, garage sales, and travelling to Nashville, TN, and Nashville, IN. He loved farming, good movies, going to the Miami and Darke County Fairs, and spending time drinking coffee with the ROMEO guys. He enjoyed attending steam engine shows, the Covington Fort Rowdy Gathering, WACO airplanes, working in his shop, and flying kites. He retired from Upper Valley Medical Center in plant operations. Harold was a US Army veteran where he repaired helicopters during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion, A. B. Cole Post #80 and the National Rifle Association. He will be missed and remembered by his loving wife Alice Rose (Flory) Caldwell; daughter Amy Green of Ft. Mitchell, KY; son and daughter-in-law Mike & Mary Caldwell of Covington; grandchildren Alyssa Mae Green and Rachel Marie Green; sister-in-law Barbara (Magoto) Caldwell. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister Pearl Mae Bucholtz; brothers Clarence B. Caldwell and Ralph B. Caldwell. Funeral services will be held l0:30 AM Saturday, June 21, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High Street, Covington, with interment following at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 9-10:30 AM Saturday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made in the name of Harold Caldwell’s memory for a granite bench to be placed at the Covington Community Park, c/o 5/3 Bank, 150 E. Broadway Street, Covington, Ohio 45318.
