Janice Jean “Jeanie” Davis, 81, formerly of Troy, passed away Sunday afternoon, September 27, 2026, at Vancrest Upper Valley, Troy. She was born June 12, 1945, in Ludlow Falls, to the late Russell Webster and Sarah Alice (Boze) Arnett. She married Earl Larkin Davis Jr.; he preceded her in death on August 23, 1991.

Jeanie will also be missed and remembered by her children, Penny Davis (Jim Gariety) of Sidney, Patricia Davis of Englewood and Larkin Davis (Chris Lewis) of Sidney; a granddaughter, Shanda Marie Angel; and three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Shane and Kiara Sampson. She was preceded in death by siblings Evelyn Earick, Elmer, David, Don and Billy Arnett.

Jeanie had worked in years past for Burger King and as a housekeeper for Microtel. She enjoyed fishing, sewing and quilting.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, October 1, at Highland Cemetery, 7835 Ingle Rd., Covington. Friends may visit with the family from 10-10:45 a.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
