John P. Stoudt, 54, of Troy, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born April 14, 1967, in Queens, New York, to the late Thomas A. Stoudt Sr. and Santa (Lazzaro) Loffland of Dayton. He married Amy J. (Witherspoon) Stoudt on May 31, 2003; she survives in Troy.
John will also be missed and remembered by his children, Brandon Stoudt of Dayton and Alayna Stoudt of Troy; a grandson, Max; a brother, Thomas (Brandy) Stoudt of Alaska; and many other relatives and friends.
John was employed for 25 years with the City of Dayton as a well field supervisor. He was a devout Christian man who loved the Lord and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church of Troy. John was also a member of the Troy Fish & Game. He enjoyed music, playing the guitar and mandolin, and his Chihuahua dogs. John adored his grandson and especially loved spending time with him and all his family.
Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Friday, September 10, at Moore Funeral Home, Covington, with Pastor Greg Steinke officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, as well as one hour prior to services on Friday at the funeral home. At the family’s request, masks and social distancing practices are strongly encouraged.
