Johnny Alexander

June 12, 1956 — April 30, 2018

Johnny B. Alexander, 61, of Covington, passed away Monday, April 30, 2018, at the Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy.  He was born June 12, 1956, in Greenville, to the late Edwin L. Alexander and Maxine (Hamilton) Alexander.  His mother survives in Covington.

John is also survived by a son, John David Jones of Bradford; a brother, Ed (Teresa) Alexander of Covington; a sister, Sandra Garman of Troy; two grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Bill Garman.

John was a 1975 graduate of Newton High School and served in the U.S. Navy.  He worked for Stillwater Technology of Troy and Minster Machine as a welder.

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 5 at Ansonia Cemetery, 4956 St. Rt. 47, Ansonia, with Pastor John Shelton officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Brukner Nature Center or the Miami County Animal Shelter.  Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.  Online condolences may be left for the Alexander family at www.moorefh.com.
