Leo L. Grilliot, 78, of Troy, passed away of natural causes Saturday, November 8, 2025, at his home. He was born December 28, 1946, in Troy, to the late Ralph J. and Jeanne M. (Pirot) Grilliot. He married Mary Lou (Tromans) Grilliot on July 3, 1971; she survives.
He will also be missed and remembered by his sons, Benjamin (Elisabeth) Grilliot of Englewood, Anthony (Nicole) Grilliot of Fort Wayne, Ind. and Patrick Grilliot of Paulding; five grandchildren, Jason, Kiara, Taryn, Jocelyn & Corey Grillot; his siblings, Jeff (Chris) Grilliot of Troy, Marc Grilliot of Troy, Dennis (Diane) Grilliot of Parker City, Ind., Marie “Mary” Meeker of Troy, Mary Jane Grilliot of Troy, Michele Smith of Casstown and Nancy Grilliot of Casstown; an uncle, Kenneth (Lois) Grilliot of Centerville; and many nieces, nephews and extended family members. He was preceded in death by two nephews, William Thomas and Dustin Grilliot.
Leo retired as the owner and operator of Grilliot Insurance Agency of Troy, which was started by his father Ralph. He had also worked as a computer operator at White Villa after graduating from Troy High School in 1965 and going to tech college. He was a longtime member of St. Patrick Catholic Church of Troy. Leo was proud to have donated over 26 gallons of whole blood during his lifetime.
Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, 409 E. Main St., Troy, with Rev. Isaiah Callan celebrating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to GIVE Medical Ministry, 1000 Mote Dr., Covington, OH 45318, or St. Patrick Catholic Church.
