Lillie Margaret Sipes

Lillie Margaret “Peggy” Sipes, 81, of Covington, passed away Friday, February 16, 2018, at her residence.  She was born September 16, 1936, in Covington, to the late Donley D. and Marjorie (Fisher) Myers.  She married James W. “Jim” Sipes on December 18, 1985, and he survives.

Peggy will also be missed and remembered by her four daughters, Anna Marie (Terry) Venrick of Greenville, Leslie (Scott) Solomon of Fort Worth, TX, Mary Mirbagheri (Dana Taylor) of Piqua, and Catherine Lanzotti of Raleigh, NC; stepchildren Michele (Greg) Thomas of Fairfax, VA, and Jeffrey (Naomi) Sipes of Kettering; 12 grandchildren, Elisabeth, Daniel, Sarah, Ali, Paul, Amir, Max, Emily, Jennifer, Ryan, Mikayla, Emma; four great-grandchildren, Channon, Dalan, David, Lyric; and siblings David (Barbara) Myers of Pleasant Hill, Judith (William) Stanley of Cincinnati, and Diana (Thomas) Wick of Covington.  She was preceded in death by her brothers, Edward and Crispin Myers.

Peggy was a graduate of Newton High School and Sinclair College.  She was a registered nurse for 30 years, 20 of those at the Behavioral Health Unit at Miami Valley Hospital.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, February 21, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor John Sullivan officiating.  Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery.  Friends may call from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions in Peggy's name may be made to Grace Hospice, 3033 Kettering Blvd. #210, Moraine, OH 45439.  Online condolences may be sent to the Sipes family at www.moorefh.com.
