Lois Trucksis Mayberry

Lois J. (Apple) Trucksis Mayberry, 83, of Piqua, passed away Saturday afternoon, September 26, 2026 at Ohio's Hospice, Troy. She was born September 21, 1943, in Loramie Twp., Shelby County, to the late Paul H. and Marceil (Snyder) Apple. She married Ralph Trucksis; he preceded her in death in 1994. She later married Harry N. Mayberry; he preceded her in death in 2006.

She will be missed and remembered by her siblings, Carolyn (Charles) Knouff of Piqua, Duane (Diana) Apple of Covington and Joyce Marconette of Piqua; brother-in-law Bill Schmiesing of Piqua; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and their families. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gladys Schmiesing.

Lois was a 1961 graduate of Hardin-Houston High School and had worked for Aerovent and Upper Valley Medical Center.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 3, at Miami Memorial Park, 7875 N. Crescent Dr., Covington, with Craig Martin officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Ohio's Hospice of Miami County, or Our Savior Lutheran Church.
