Margot Basye

Margot Francine Basye, 5 months, of Covington, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, August 6, 2023, at her residence. She was born in Dayton on March 9, 2023, sharing a birthday with her mom, to her parents Jonathan Michael Basye and Maria Jo Ann Mohler of Covington.

She will also be missed and remembered by her siblings, Hunter, Tyler, Andrew, Asa and Sylvia Basye; grandparents Gary & Jane Mohler and Mike & Tina Basye; godmother Morgan Sunshein and godfather Seth Mohler; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her paternal grandmother, Angela Laughman.

Margot was baptized July 30, 2023 at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Piqua. She was a very easy and happy baby, loved interacting with her sister Sylvia, and blessed everyone with her infectious smile. She was greatly loved and will be greatly missed.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, August 11, at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 310 S. Downing St., Piqua, with Rev. Fr. James Duell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, Covington. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Thursday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington.
