Marian M. Fenner, 81, of Piqua, passed away Friday morning, September 29, 2023, at Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit. She was born June 6, 1942, in Schuylkill Co., Penn., to the late Norman and Olga (Roth) Miller. She married Thomas E. Fenner on May 5, 1964 in Basel, Switzerland; he survives.

She will also be missed and remembered by her daughters, Robin (Rodney) Baker of West Milton and Michelle (Johnny) Wical of Wapakoneta; seven grandchildren, Jordan (Loren) Fries, Jacob (Jennifer) Fries, Dylan Barbee, Joshua (Sarah) Fries, David (Michelle) Barbee, Millie (Dylan) Oda and Cayley Baker; 12 great-grandchildren, Josiah, Dalton, Aiden, Anthony, Liam, Tucker, Lorelai, Evelyn, Oliver, Asher, Addison, and baby girl Fries due in January; her bonus great-granddaughter Bella; her siblings, Susan, Norman, Darlene, Bonnie, Donna, Diane, Gary, Joann and Mary; bonus daughter, Mary Wical; and special caregiver, Shellie Rice. She was preceded in death by sister Dixie and brother John; and a great-grandson, Abel.

Marian grew up in Pennsylvania and served in the U.S. Army as a systems analyst from 1961-65, where she met Tom. After their time in the service, she was a homemaker and worked for Sunset Cleaners and Bornell Supply of Piqua. She was a longtime active member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Covington. Marian enjoyed crafting, sewing, playing cards, and loved Elvis and his music. She will be best remembered as a wonderful and loving mom, grandma and GG to her family.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 4, at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 200 E. Bridge St., Covington, with Pastor Rachel Patterson officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, with full military honors by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Friends may visit with the family from 4-7 p.m. Tuesday at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County, St. John’s Lutheran Church, or the charity of choice.
