Mary Dietz

Mary Louise Dietz, 70, of Covington, formerly of Johnstown, PA, passed away Thursday, December 6, 2018 at her home.  She was born January 31, 1948, in Tire Hill, PA, the daughter of James and Mary (Skufca) Clark.  Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Harry” Dietz; and brother, Donald Clark.

Mary will be missed and remembered by three sisters, Janice Onder, Lavada Karalfa, and Judy Meyers; a brother, James Clark; and sister-in-law, Helen “Kay” Clark.  She was also preceded in death by her brothers-in-law, Donald Karalfa and Peter Onder.  Mary had no children of her own, but shared in the raising of her sister Judy Meyers’ children, niece Christine (Adams) Schluter, nephew Justin Adams, and Judy’s four grandchildren, great-niece Brianna (Schluter) Rose, and great-nephews Cameron Schluter, Kolton Maish, and Maverick Adams.

She is also survived by nieces Kathy, Jennie, Donna, Sue, and Sharon; and nephews Bruce and Jason; and many more great-nieces and great-nephews.  Her entire family was her life.  Mary was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Troy.

Friends will be received Tuesday, December 11 from 4-8 p.m. at John Henderson Company Funeral Home, 215 Central Ave., Johnstown, PA, where a funeral service will be held Wednesday, December 12 at 11 a.m.  Pastor Carl Irwin will officiate, with interment to follow in Grandview Cemetery, Johnstown.  Local arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington.  Online tributes may be left for Mary's family at www.moorefh.com.
