Norman Minnich

Age 86 of Covington, passed away Monday, January 17, 2011, at his residence. He was born May 29, 1924, in Covington, to his parents Raymond & Irene (Holipeter) Minnich. He was preceded in death by his wife Katherine (Huber) Minnich in 1990; daughter Barbara Minnich; brothers George Minnich, Harold Minnich, Robert Minnich; sisters Betty White, Margaret Minnich, Dolly Stevenson. He is survived by his sons Larry & Lora Minnich of New Carlisle and Terry & Carol Minnich of Covington; grandchildren Larry Minnich, Jr. of New Carlisle, Steven Minnich of Cuyahoga Falls, OH; brother Jim Minnich of Covington; sister Eda Mae Finfrock of New Carlisle; special friend Francis Miller of Conway, SC. Norman graduated from Covington High School Class of 1942 and served in the US Navy during WWII. He retired from NCR and worked for three years for the Village of Covington. He was a member of the Covington Church of the Brethren and the F.O.E. 3998, Covington. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Friday, January 21, at Jackson-Sarver Funeral Home, 10 S. High St, Covington. Interment at Highland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. If so desired, memorial contributions may be made to Senior Independence Hospice or American Cancer Society.
