Paul T. Waldroop, 83, of Piqua, passed away Monday, December 24, 2018, at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit, Troy. He was born May 1, 1935, in Valley Creek, Tenn., to the late Naboth E. and Vealie O. (North) Waldroop. He married Mildred “Millie” (Bradford) Waldroop, and she survives.
He will also be missed and remembered by a son, Paul Waldroop of Piqua; two daughters, Sara Jane Henry of Troy and Mary Rosalie Bradford of Lima; two grandchildren, Michael & Shamare; and siblings, Martha Ellen Myers, David Waldroop, Elizabeth Hoover, Phebe Watson, and Adabelle Evans. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Naboth Glenn, Samuel, Dan, Phillip, and infant twins Joseph & Jacob Waldroop; and sisters Elcie May Lawson and Ruth Waldroop.
Paul was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and retired from Hartzell Fan after 35 years as a supervisor and welder. He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed fishing, music, played the banjo and guitar, and enjoyed family vacations to Kentucky each year.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 28, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor Danny Ridenour officiating. Burial will follow in Shelby Memory Gardens, Hardin, where military honors will be performed by the Veterans Elite Tribute Squad. Friends may call from 12-1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
