Philip Snapp

August 9, 1947 — March 12, 2026

Philip Snapp, 78, of Piqua, passed away early Thursday morning, March 12, 2026 at Ohio's Hospice, Troy, after a long illness. He was born August 9, 1947, in Sidney, to the late Omer and Evenice (McBride) Snapp. He was united in marriage with Phyllis G. (Cantrell) Snapp on January 12, 1968; she survives.

He will also be missed and remembered by his sons, Shane (Krista) Snapp of Piqua and Ryan (Bridget) Snapp of Piqua; six grandchildren, Trevor (Beccah), Kaylee, Trenton, Bryson, Dominic and Micah Snapp; two great-grandchildren, Kennedy and Clayton; his siblings, Dennis (Shirley) Snapp of Lockington, LaDessa (Larry) Holeton of Alabama, Danny (Sandra) Snapp of Piqua and David (Connie) Snapp of Houston. Phil was preceded in death by siblings Iona Werling and Chester, Richard, Doyle and Don Snapp.

Phil was a 1965 graduate of Houston High School. He retired from Perfecto Industries after over 40 years of service, and was a longtime member of Piqua Christian Church. Phil loved the outdoors and spending time in nature while hunting, fishing and gardening. He also enjoyed collecting coins, and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Memorial services to honor his life will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor David Fishback officiating. Friends may visit with the family from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Christian Church.
