Reva Thompson

Reva G. Thompson, 87, of Piqua, passed away Monday afternoon, May 18, 2026, at Stillwater Care Center, Covington. She was born May 6, 1939 in Tazewell, Virginia, to the late Sherman & Ethel (Jackson) McReynolds. She married Lacy N. “Pete” Thompson on April 8, 1959; he preceded her in death on December 5, 1994.

She will be missed and remembered by her three children, Michael Thompson of Morrow, Joseph (Toni) Thompson of Piqua and Darla Thompson of Piqua; eight grandchildren, Nick, Alex (Ashley), Aaron, Corey, Michelle, Travis, Kyle (Brooke) Thompson and Keesha (Mark) Tucker; 13 great-grandchildren; a sister, Sally Crabtree of Virginia; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by seven siblings. Reva was the owner and operator of the former Piqua Aquarium.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Larry Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Hill Cemetery, Piqua. Friends may visit with the family from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Piqua Meals on Wheels, P.O. Box 131, Piqua, OH 45356.
