Richard Allen Blauvelt

Richard Allen Blauvelt, 40, of New Carlisle, passed away Wednesday, November 21, 2018, as the result of an automobile accident.  He was born September 20, 1978 in Dayton.  He married Heather L. (Detrick) Blauvelt on September 25, 2010, and she survives.

Allen will also be missed and remembered by his father, Richard P. Blauvelt of Springfield; his mother, Norma (Morgan) Blauvelt of New Carlisle; brothers Michael Blauvelt and William (Jennifer) Blauvelt; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Bethel High School and was a member of Local 162 Plumbers and Pipe Fitters Union for 14 years, working throughout the Dayton area.  Allen enjoyed hunting and being out in nature.  He was a hunting mentor for many young people.  Allen also loved cooking and having friends come together.

In keeping with his love of food and get-togethers, there will be a celebration of Allen’s life and pot-luck style carry-in dinner at 4:30 p.m. Sunday, December 9, at the UAW Local 128 Hall, 1230 S.
