Terry Herron

Terry L. Herron, 84, of Covington, passed away Thursday afternoon, August 27, 2026, at Ohio’s Hospice, Troy. She was born July 22, 1942, in Dayton, to the late Charles Smith and Dorothy (Goens) Smith Rice. She married Tarryl E. Herron on September 11, 1959; he survives.

She will also be missed and remembered by her son, Rick Herron of Covington; grandson Jeff Herron of Covington; her siblings, Robert (Nancy) Smith of Sidney, Paul (Brenda) Rice of Piqua; in-laws, Dewey Herron, Ted Herron, Dusty (Charlotte) Herron and Sue Wright; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jeremiah Herron; her brother, Dick Rice, and in-laws, Lucinda Herron, Belva Jean Roessner-Sandy, Nancy Smith, Joyce Herron and Gary Wright.

Terry worked for Medalist Allen-A and retired from Panasonic after many years of service. She enjoyed riding Tennessee walking horses and riding Harley-Davidsons with her husband. Terry also loved the Christmas season.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 31, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Pastor Jon Dillon officiating. Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park. Friends may visit from 12-1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or Ohio’s Hospice of Miami County.
