William Dewey

R. William “Bill” Dewey, 84, of Troy, passed away Saturday morning, October 11, 2025, at Troy Rehab & Healthcare Center. He was born July 21, 1941, in Troy, to the late William and Maxine (Kister) Dewey. He married Marigold (Sylvia) Dewey; she survives.

He will also be missed and remembered by his brother, David Dewey of Troy. Bill was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce Demmitt.

He was a 1959 graduate of Troy High School and served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War. Bill was a member of One Hope Church of the Nazarene of Tipp City and American Legion Post #43 of Troy.

Graveside services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, October 21, at Miami Memorial Park, 7875 N. Crescent Dr., Covington, with Pastor Stan Ward officiating. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington. Online condolences may be left for the Dewey family at moorefh.com.
