David Mayor

David N. Mayor, 72, of Covington, passed away Monday, May 16, 2022. He was born on May 16, 1950, in Bedford, Ohio. David was the beloved husband of 52 years to Rita A. (Massie) Mayor. His devoted and loving legacy includes sons Thomas (Catherine) and Mark; and grandchildren Michael, Matthew, and Gabriella. David was preceded in death by his parents, Louis and Mary (Szekley) Mayor; and siblings Louis (Betty), Michelle, and Robert (whose wife Pamela survives). David is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of St. Teresa of the Infant Jesus Catholic Church of Covington, the Ohio Operating Engineers Local #18, and was an avid photographer and gardener. His lifelong appreciation to all people who serve our country, both military and civilian, was mirrored in his devotion to his wife, children, and grandchildren.

A memorial mass will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 29, at St. Teresa Catholic Church, 6925 W. U.S. Rt. 36, Covington, with a celebration of his life to follow. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Miami County Right to Life, P.O. Box 201, Troy, OH 45373. Arrangements are in care of Moore Funeral Home, Covington, OH.
