Judith Davis

September 3, 1934 — April 12, 2022

A celebration of life service for Judith “Judi” (Arendall) Davis is planned for 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4, at the Covington Presbyterian Church, 30 N. Pearl St., Covington. Pastor Greg Kurtz will conduct the service.

Judi died peacefully on April 12, 2022 at her home in Gulf Breeze, Florida, where she had lived the past 20 years. She was born September 3, 1934, in Covington, the daughter of Raymond and Lois (Buchanan) Arendall.

Survivors include her son, Steve (Cindy) Davis of Pensacola Beach, Fla; grandsons Daniel (Ginny) Davis of Pensacola, Fla., Luke (Debra) Davis of Guam, and Heath (Becka) Davis of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; great-grandsons Steven, Jim (Ruby) and Ruie Davis; and great-great-grandson, Jacob Davis. Also surviving is her sister, Elaine Alexander of Covington; and several nieces and nephews. Judi was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ronald Arendall.

Judi grew up in Covington, graduated from Covington High School in 1952, and was a lifelong member of the Covington Presbyterian Church. Skilled in accounting and sales, she was a long-time employee of Hardenbrook Ford and later, The Orr Felt Company, from which she retired.

She relocated to Piqua eventually, and in January 2002, moved to the Florida Panhandle, where she attended Gulf Breeze Presbyterian Church. Throughout her life, Judi’s interests included reading, home decorating, knitting, quilting, and counted cross-stitching. She was known wherever she lived for the fine needlework she created. Judi was also a keen bridge player and for many years enjoyed being a member of various bridge clubs. An avid golfer, she belonged to Echo Hills Golf Club of Piqua, where she scored a hole-in-one, a proud accomplishment for sure. Friends and family were dear to her, and she always stayed in contact with them.

If desired, memorial contributions may be made to the Covington Presbyterian Church, 30 N. Pearl St., Covington. Online condolences may be left for the family at moorefh.com.
