Ruth Subler

Ruth R. Subler, 90, of Covington, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Upper Valley Medical Center.  She was born January 15, 1928, in Covington, to the late Willard J. and Mae (Byrd) Routson.  She married James D. Subler; he preceded her in death on June 3, 2014.

She will be missed and remembered by a son, Craig (Mary Jo) Subler of Washington, D.C.; a daughter, Connie (Phillip) Hawkins of Carlisle; a granddaughter, Stephanie Faulkner; and a sister, Fern Hamiel of Vandalia.  She was preceded in death by siblings Elnora Long and Grant Routson.

Ruth worked for the former Rike’s and Macy’s for many years.  She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church of Covington.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 8, at Moore Funeral Home, 10 S. High St., Covington, with Rev. Stephen Nierman officiating.  Burial will follow in Miami Memorial Park, Covington.  Friends may call from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.  Online condolences may be left for the Subler family at www.moorefh.com.
